High Jump, founded in 1989, provides academic enrichment, counseling, and support to students to send them to high quality college prep high schools with the goal of enhancing their ability to gain admission to 4-year colleges and universities. Their main program provides a two-year tuition free academic enrichment program that serves motivated 7th and 8th grade students, who come to 3 locations for enrichment during the school year and over the summer. High Jump built the Community Scholars Program to develop a sustainable and more equitable model of academic enrichment for middle school. This aims to remove barriers from attending, serve more communities, and cast a wider net to recognized talented students.
